Grant-Ready Budgets: Telling Your Financial Story

  • Compass Park 800 Freemason Parkway Franklin, IN, 46131 United States (map)

Join me for this session hosted by the Johnson County Community Foundation as part of their Elevate Impact Series, which brings practical, capacity-building training to local nonprofits.

Grant budgets are one of the first places funders look to assess readiness, yet they’re often one of the most stressful parts of the application process. Even strong programs can raise concerns if financials feel unclear, overly minimized, or disconnected from the work being proposed.

In this session, we’ll focus on how funders interpret budgets and financial attachments during early review. We’ll examine common structures, frequent red flags, and how budgets connect to program design and outcomes.

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to present financial information in a way that reflects both credibility and transparency, without overcomplicating the process.
